WEEK 8

Nanotech and Art Each week I discover more and more about the collaborations of different fields and the effects it has on those fields. In every week I have found that the collaboration of art with another field has a significant positive impact. The same goes for nanotechnology and art. Professor Vesna believes that nanotechnology will be "the paradigm shift that is really going to push us over the edge into the twenty-first century" and I also see this as true (Intro video). WEEK 4

Medicine, Technology, and Art  The Material that most influenced my understanding of this topic was the TED Talk by Virgil Wong. Virgil is an artist, technologist, and a researcher and he is using his art to help people's health. We wouldve never thought that art could in fact help people's health, but it does in Virgil's Medical Avatar LLC. I found it interesting in his TED talk how he revealed that people can connect to other people who suffer from similar health problems through this design app that monitors people's health. I feel like this is the most interesting side of how art and medicine can connect in technology, because human relations can be benefited through this connection. WEEK 3

Robotics and Art One of my all time favorite movies is Transformers . This movie is a prime example about how robotics and art can work together to create something that is super cool for even the general public to observe. Movies fall into an artistic subject with there story line, design, and film production.
